DDSP credit system

  1. The credit system is based on the principles of the European Credit Transfer System (hereinafter referred to as "ECTS") and is a quantification criterion for study control. The credit system requires students to obtain the minimum number of credits needed to progress to the next year of study each year. When acquiring credits, the student is guided by an individual study plan that is in accordance with the study program of the relevant field of the doctoral degree programme (Appendix 1). In order to properly complete the studies in the doctoral degree programme, it is necessary to obtain the number of credits corresponding to at least sixty times the number of years of the standard period of study.
  2. Procedure criteria (Article 17, Paragraph 1 of the Study and Examination Regulations in the Doctoral Degree Programmes of the Uvniversity of Veterinary Scienses Brno).
    In order to be enrolled in the next academic year of study, the student shall fulfil the enrolment criteria. The enrolment criteria are as follows:
    1. To be enrolled in the 2nd year of study, they shall obtain a total of at least 50 credits,
    2. To be enrolled in the 3rd year of study, they shall obtain a total of at least 100 credits,
    3. To be enrolled in the 4th year of study, they shall obtain a total of at least 150 credits,
    4. To be enrolled in the 5th year of study, they shall obtain in the 4th year of study at least another 60 credits
  3. Obtaining credits (Article 17, Paragraphs 2, 3 of the Study and Examination Regulations in the Doctoral Degree Programmes of the Uvniversity of Veterinary Scienses Brno).
    Credits shall be obtained, in particular, for completed examinations, credits, publishing activities and, if necessary, other successfully completed activities in accordance with an individual study plan.
    Credits may only be obtained for student’s publishing activities relating to the issues addressed by the student in the course of the DDP studies.

 

All Doctoral Degree Study Programmes include a compulsory scientific part, which which consists of the following parts:
