University Management
Rector
- the most senior official of the University
- acts in the name of the University and decides the University's affairs
- represents the University and negotiates in its name
Vice-Rectors
- they are appointed by the Rector for different professional fields: 1. Vice-Rector for Education, 2. Vice-Rector for Science, Research and Foreign Relations, 3. Vice-Rector for Strategy and Development
Registrar
- is responsible for the financial management and administration of the University and acts on behalf of the University to the extent set out in the Rector’s Decision
Chancellor
- governs activities of the Rector’s Office, University archive and Records management
FVHE Management
Dean
- the most senior official at the Faculty, acts in the name of the Faculty and decides the Faculty's affairs
- is elected by the Academic Senate of the Faculty
Vice-Deans
- appointed by the Dean as advisors for tow specific fields: Vice-Dean for Education, 2. Vice-Dean for Science, Research and Foreign Relations
Registrar
- responsible for the financial management and administration of the Faculty
- appointed and dismissed by the Dean
Heads of Departments
- required to lead, manage and develop the Faculty’s departments
Statutory Bodies
Rector's Collegium
- acts as a Rector’s permanent advisory body
- its members are Rector, Vice-Rectors, Registrar, Deans, Director of the higher education institution, Chair of the Academic Senate and student and union representatives
Academic Senate
- two types of Academic Senate – The University Academic Senate and The Faculty Academic Senate
- a self-regulatory body whose responsibility is to advocate interests of academic community (academic staff and students) and to address comments and suggestions
- members are elected by the academic community – students elect their representatives whom they can address with questions
Scientific Council
- a self-regulatory body acting in particular in the field of science and research
- composed of a total of 47 members, both internal and external
Student Disciplinary Board
- reviews instances of alleged student misconduct
- composed of 6 members
Rectorate
- the Rector’s office. The Rector is in charge of university management and its administrative and technical functioning
- all two faculties including FVHE are subjected to the rectorate
- the Rectorate is addressed to deal with affairs which the Faculty has no authority for or when travelling abroad
Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology
- the faculty is headed by the Dean who is in charge of faculty management and ensuring its administrative and technical functioning
- the faculty is responsible for students and teaching process
Lifelong Learning Institute
- organizes and implements lifelong learning for veterinarians in order to qualify them for specialized professional activities in the field of veterinary medicine
- offers educational programmes in the area of computer and office technology and the Third Age University educational programmes

- there are more than 30 sport disciplines to choose from (Aerobics, Badminton, Bouldering, Floorball, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Power Yoga, H.E.A.T., Soccer, Karate, Overballs, Gym balls, Street Workout and more)
- every year organizes different sport tours (trekking, biking, canoeing and kayaking) and winter ski trips
Accommodation Office
- provide accommodation for university undergraduate students in particular
University Agricultural Farm in Nový Jičín
- engaged in bovina animal production, pig production, equine breeding and production of agricultural crops
- provides on-the–job training for undergraduate students
